Getting to Sault Ste. Marie
For those of you who are travelling within Canada, the Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario) Airport (YAM) is serviced by Air Canada, Bearskin Airlines and Porter with various flight options, seven days a week.
For those of you who are travelling from the United States or overseas, you may want to consider flying into the Chippewa County International Airport (CIU) in Sault Ste. Marie (Michigan), which is just across the river from where the conference is being held. The CIU airport is serviced by Delta Connection, operated by Pinnacle Airlines.

Ground Transportation
The Delta Sault Ste. Marie Waterfront Hotel provides their guests with an airport shuttle service at the group rate of $15.00 per person each way. The group rate is based on a minimum of 10 guests signing up for the service, whether or not they travel between the airport and hotel at the same time. The shuttle can transport seven people plus luggage, and the hotel will provide additional shuttles to accommodate everyone who signs up for the service.
The shuttle must be booked through the Hotel’s Front Desk by calling the Hotel directly at 705-949-0611 or by email at ssm.shuttle.sm@deltahotels.com (please cc Sarah Whistance-Smith - swhistance-smith@deltahotels.com). Advanced booking is required in order to secure you seat in the hotel’s shuttle.
The shuttle operates around every flight that arrives to and from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Airport and the Chippewa County International Airport (CIU) in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
Taxis
Taxi transportation between YAM and the hotel is approximately $50 each way and taxis are available at all times.
Limos and taxis between CIU and the conference venue is approximately $60 each way.
Things to Do in Sault Ste. Marie
There are many things to see and do in the Sault, including the waterfront boardwalk (right behind the Delta Sault Ste. Mari), the historic ship canal (within walking distance of the Delta Sault Ste. Marie) and the Canadian Bushplane Museum.
